Rossalya & Carlos's Engagement Session | White Rock Lake Dallas, Texas

I am so thrilled to be sharing this engagement session with you today. Rossalya and Carlos are such a sweet, lovely couple. We had their engagement session at White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas, on a beautiful sixty degree weather December day! We could not have asked for better Texas weather to capture and create these beautiful heirlooms for these two lovebirds. They radiate love in every image, it was so hard to pick my favorites! I cannot wait to see what is to come for them.  Having knowing Rossalya since high school, I wish them nothing but the best!  Here is an insight to their love story told by Rossalya on how they met, how he proposed to her, and what she looks forward to when they tie the knot!

“Carlos and I met at a youth group in St. Mark’s Catholic Church. I still remember the day and moment when I first saw him, he walked in and I thought to myself that he was very handsome. Since I was one of the leaders, I said “hi” to him and welcomed him into the group. For about 6 months we were really good friends and we would hang out every once in a while. I remember during that time I was not looking to be in a relationship, I knew God would put someone special in my life whenever He considered it was the right time. One day Carlos invited me to one of his friend’s birthday party. That night was very special because we danced and had a great time together. I think that night was the turning point because we both realized we liked each other to a greater extent than just friends. The following week he invited me to go to the mall and then we went to watch a movie… somehow the night ended with a kiss. He asked me to be his girlfriend a week later and we have been dating since then. Five years later, we were visiting New York with his family and he asked me to marry him on our last night there. I remember feeling the happiest I had ever felt, screaming “YES” to a forever with him!!! If you asked him today, he would tell you that I knew it was going to happen, but I really had NO IDEA and it was a beautiful surprise.

We have created so many beautiful memories throughout these years and I cannot wait to continue doing it once we are married. Our journey has not been a smooth one, but we have been able to overcome many difficulties together and I know that our love is stronger now because of that. I think one of the best things that I look forward to marrying Carlos is having him as my adventure partner for life. I love doing anything and everything with him (even if it just means staying in to watch a movie and eat pizza in our PJs), but I also can’t wait keep traveling the world together.”

How sweet is that love story? Here are a few of my favorite images from their session.

Enjoy, until next time! :)
